Flange & Threaded Cartridge Heaters
Our Flange and Threaded Cartridge Heaters are specifically designed for heating liquids in tanks, vats, and pressure vessels. By mounting the heater through a threaded coupling or a standard pipe flange, we ensure a secure, leak-proof installation and direct, efficient heat transfer.
Constructed with high-quality materials like stainless steel and Incoloy®, these heaters resist corrosion and can withstand high temperatures and pressures, ensuring a long service life and reliable operation.

FAQ
Selecting the correct sheath material is crucial for the heater's lifespan. Here’s a general guide:
Stainless Steel (304 & 316): Excellent for water, certain oils, and mildly corrosive solutions.
Incoloy®: Best for high-temperature applications and more corrosive solutions, including some acids.
Titanium/Copper: Used for specific chemical compatibility requirements.
If you're unsure, it's always best to consult our engineering team with details about the liquid you are heating.
Watt density (measured in watts per square inch) refers to the heat output per unit of surface area on the heater sheath. It's a critical factor because a watt density that is too high for a particular liquid can cause it to burn or coke onto the heater's surface, leading to premature failure. For example, water can handle a high watt density, while oils and viscous fluids require a much lower one.
Yes. Our heaters can be manufactured with an internal thermocouple (Type J or K) or an RTD sensor. This allows you to connect the heater to an external temperature controller for precise process control. We also offer built-in high-limit cutouts for over-temperature protection.
Not at all. They are designed for easy installation. Threaded heaters simply screw into a matching fitting, and flange heaters are bolted on. Because the heating elements are contained within the vessel, they can be easily removed for maintenance or replacement without needing to drain the entire tank, minimizing downtime.
