Screw Plug Immersion Heater Thread Selection
Screw Plug Immersion Heater is a high-power, detachable electric heating tube that is formed by welding or screwing multiple heating tubes onto a hexagonal thread. When replacing, twist the heating tube into the hole for installation. It is non-standard and convenient and is usually selected by hot water engineering installation companies as a heating element. The common thread standards are: DN40 and DN50, which can be purchased as needed, and customized non-standard threads are also supported.
Installation Method
Prepare the Tank/Vessel:Clean and dry the tank. Ensure the threaded hole matches the heater’s size.
Inspect the Heater:Check the heater for any visible damage and verify specifications.
Install the Heater:Lubricate the threads (optional) and screw the heater into the tank’s threaded hole.Tighten by hand, then use a wrench to secure it, ensuring a snug fit.
Electrical Connections:Connect the heater to the power supply according to instructions. Ensure secure, insulated wiring.
Check for Leaks:Fill the tank and check for leaks around the heater. Tighten the plug if needed.
Test the Heater:Turn on the power and check for proper heating. Monitor the first cycle for smooth operation.
For the top-mounted type, pay attention to the length of the cold zone to avoid local high temperatures that may burn the heating tube.

Material selection
1. 304 stainless steel is thickened 304 material, not 201 and other general stainless steel; 2. Copper material has good thermal conductivity, fast heat dissipation, certain anti-scaling functions, and longer life than ordinary stainless steel;
2. 316 green type is 316 stainless steel that has been treated with high-temperature nitriding, not coating ① The green treatment makes the magnesium oxide powder crystallize at high temperatures in the electric heating tube, and it is not easy to leak electricity.
3. The green treatment forms a dense hexagonal crystal on the surface of the tube, which enhances thermal radiation, slows down the formation of water, and increases the service life of the heating tube.
4. It is recommended to use 316 green types for poor water quality
Things to note
When heating liquids, it is strictly forbidden to dry-burn or dehydrate. When the heating tube is not used for a long time, please place it in a cool and dry place, seal it with a plastic bag, and do not place it in a humid environment. If the insulation is low, it can be placed in a 200℃ oven to dry.
